FleAffair's policies are rules and guidelines that create a safe and fair trading environment for all its members. The following rules and policies are therefore enforced:

Your User Agreement - This is the most important FleAffair policy and rule document. All members are responsible for reviewing and understanding FleAffair's policies and all applicable laws and regulations contained in this legal contract.

Rules about Feedback - Rules and guidelines about FleAffair's system for member reputations.

Rules for Everyone - General policies applying to all FleAffair members, FleAffair employees and FleAffair. This section includes rules that protect your privacy and your identity. FleAffair’s policies are intended to:

  • Support government laws and regulations
  • Minimize risks to both buyers and sellers
  • Provide equal opportunity to all buyers and sellers
  • Protect intellectual property rights
  • Provide an enjoyable buying experience
  • Support the values of the FleAffair Community


Learning about FleAffair's policies will help you avoid breaking rules (including the law) and aid you in trading with reliable, trustworthy buyers and sellers.

Violations of policy may result in a range of actions including:

  • Listing cancellation
  • Limits on account privileges
  • Account suspension
  • Forfeit of FleAffair fees on cancelled listings


Rules about Feedback

Feedback is a valuable indicator of a buyer’s or seller's reputation on FleAffair. Your Feedback Profile includes a Feedback Score, as well as comments from your transaction partners.

As a FleAffair member, you should use caution and good judgment when leaving Feedback for another member. What you write will be a permanent part of that member’s record on FleAffair.

FleAffair's Feedback-related policies are designed to encourage open and honest trading. However, to ensure that Feedback is used for the proper purpose and not abused, FleAffair has some basic rules that must be followed.

Feedback can be abused by practices such as:

  • Feedback Extortion - Threatening to leave negative or neutral feedback for another member unless the other member provides goods or services not included in the original listing
  • Feedback Manipulation - Feedback left or received where the Feedback’s primary value is to artificially enhance a member’s reputation
  • Feedback in Seller Terms and Conditions - Sellers are not permitted to include in their listings or terms of sale any conditions that limit or restrict the buyer from leaving Feedback

Violations of FleAffair’s policies may result in a range of actions including:

  • Listing cancellation
  • Limits on account privileges
  • Account suspension
  • Forfeit of FleAffair fees on cancelled listings


Rules for Everyone

There are rules that all FleAffair members, both buyers and sellers, need to know and follow. These rules are created to protect you and to keep FleAffair a safe place to buy, sell, and participate in the Community.

Rules about general member conduct
FleAffair members cannot:

  • Interfere with the site - Interference or attempted interference with FleAffair's site and/or operations using any software program, routine or activity is a serious offense and is not permitted. Members using the FleAffair site may only modify or add content in those areas specifically designated for member use. All content must also abide by all other FleAffair policies. In no case may a user block, obscure, overwrite or modify any FleAffair-generated content or pages. All other site locations or components of the pages are strictly for FleAffair use.
  • Use profanity on the site - FleAffair policy prohibits the use of language that is racist, hateful, sexual or obscene in nature in a public area. This policy extends to all user-generated text on areas (including comments/feedback) of the site that another member may view. Please report offensive User IDs in case of any violations of this policy.
  • Infringe on FleAffair’s intellectual property.
  • Create a new account or buy and sell on other existing accounts to avoid restrictions or limits.
  • Make offers to buy or sell outside of FleAffair - FleAffair prohibits email offers to buy or sell listed items outside of the FleAffair website. Offers of this nature circumvent FleAffair's fee structure and are a potential fraud risk for both buyers and sellers.


Rules about identity

Member identity is a building block of the FleAffair Community. FleAffair treats member identity with great respect. FleAffair expects Community members to treat member identity with the same level of respect.

FleAffair members:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Cannot misrepresent their identities.
  • Must always provide valid and complete contact information and must always have a valid email address.
  • Cannot publish the contact information of other members in an online public area.

Rules about communicating with other FleAffair members

FleAffair members:

  • Cannot send unsolicited email (spam) or email threats to other members.
  • Cannot send unsolicited messages or threats to other members using the social media tools available (Facebook, Twitter, Google+, etc.).
  • Must follow FleAffair’s rules for Community Content (includes blog entries).

Rules for Buyers
FleAffair's policies are rules and guidelines that help to create a safe, fair and enjoyable trading environment for all FleAffair members. As a buyer, you are responsible for reviewing and understanding FleAffair’s policies, as well as all applicable laws and regulations as outlined in the User Agreement .

Buyers cannot buy an item when they do not meet the seller’s terms as outlined in the item listing.

Both buyers and sellers cannot interfere with a transaction or offer to buy or sell listed items outside of the FleAffair site (see Rules for Everyone).

Every buyer must know and follow:

  • Payment Confirmation - Payment confirmation shall mean a notice from FleAffair to buyer and seller that a transaction price is successfully received by FleAffair from buyer. Payment confirmation shall also be notified on the Website under the “Activity -> Bought” section of the User’s account.
  • Dispatch Time - The seller shall provide dispatch details for the shipment within the timeline as per the handling time mentioned in the listing page. In case the seller does not enter dispatch details within this specified dispatch time, FleAffair may refund the transaction price to the buyer.
  • Delivery Time - The Delivery time is a timeline within which the seller shall be required to ensure the delivery of goods and/or services. The delivery time is calculated from the time the seller enters the dispatch details on the Website and delivery is required to be within 5 days of doing so.
  • Buyer confirmation - The buyer is given 48 hours after the item delivery timeline to confirm receipt of the item. If he has not received the item, the buyer may raise a refund claim within 48 hours.
  • Contesting a refund claim - When a seller is notified of the buyer raising a refund claim for non-receipt of the item while the seller had delivered the item, the seller needs to contact FleAffair within 48 hours of such notification with a copy of the Proof of Delivery (POD). FleAffair would then investigate the dispute and action as per evidence on record. FleAffair's decision on the dispute will be final.
  • Cancellation - In case of any Cancellation before the Order is shipped, entire amount will be refunded via same source within 7 ~ 10 working days. If the order is already shipped the order cannot be cancelled. 
  • Taxes - If any extra local/state or country tax (international shipments) are applicable they would have to be paid by the buyer. FleAffair will not be responsible for paying those taxes at any point of time.


Rules for Sellers

FleAffair's policies are rules and guidelines that help to create a safe, fair and enjoyable trading environment for all FleAffair members. As a seller, you are responsible for reviewing and understanding FleAffair’s selling policies, as well as all applicable laws and regulations as outlined in the User Agreement.

Learning about FleAffair's selling policies before you list an item will help you to avoid unintentionally breaking rules. FleAffair’s selling policies are updated to respond to marketplace, Community and security issues, so it is important to check them regularly for changes.

Every seller must know and follow:

  • Rules about Prohibited and Restricted Items - What items can and cannot be listed.
  • Rules about Intellectual Property - Items and listings that have the potential of violating certain copyrights, trademarks, or other rights.
  • Rules for Listings - Actions that are not allowed in listings.
  • Rules for Dispatch Time - The seller shall dispatch the product within the timeline of 2 days of order created. Same will be mentioned as handling time on the Product listing page. 
    • In case the seller does not enter dispatch details within the stipulated time, FleAffair may cancel the transaction and may refund the transaction price to the buyer. FleAffair will charge full commission to the Seller for the same Transaction.
    • In case the Seller delays the dispatch of product by more than 2 days and the transaction is cancelled by the Buyer due to delay, FleAffair will charge full commission to the Seller for the same Transaction.
    • Note: In case there is any delay in delivery please notify the FleAffair Vendor Central team within 2 days so that the same can be communicated to the Customer.
  • Rules for Delivery Time - The delivery time is a timeline within which the seller shall be required to ensure the delivery of goods. The delivery time is calculated from the time the seller enters the dispatch details. Delivery of the item should take place Within 5 days from dispatch date.
  • Rules for Buyer Confirmation - The buyer is given 48 hours after the item delivery timeline to confirm receipt of the item. If he has not received the item, the buyer may raise a refund claim within 48 hours.
  • Rules for Contesting a Refund Claim - When a seller is notified of the buyer raising a refund claim for non-receipt of the item while the seller had delivered the item, the seller needs to contact FleAffair within 48 hours of such notification with a copy of the Proof of Delivery (POD). FleAffair would then investigate the dispute and action as per evidence on record. FleAffair's decision on the dispute will be final.
  • Rules for Remittances to Sellers - All remittances to sellers shall be in accordance with the directions issued by Reserve Bank of India for opening and operation of accounts and settlement of payments for electronic payment transactions involving intermediaries vide its notification RBI/2009-10/231 DPSS.CO.PD.No.1102 / 02.14.08/ 2009-10 dated November 24, 2009. FleAffair would remit the transaction price to sellers by way of electronic transfer to the seller’s bank account as specified in the User’s Account Settings on a periodical basis (Electronic Transfers will be made every 10th, 20th and last day of every month. Any order which has be completed is given 20 days of cycle time which consist of {Order Creation > Order Confirmation > Order Delivered > Any Refund, if applicable} and such remittance shall be after the deduction of FleAffair Seller Fees and other dues to FleAffair including without limitation any refund claim and/or Charge backs.
  • Rules for Remittances Due to Sellers - Sellers remittances would be due when any one of the following occurs:

The buyer has confirmed delivery of the item

The buyer does not confirm the delivery of the item within the timelines provided in the FleAffair Rules and Policies for Buyers

  • No refund claim has been filed within the stipulated time-frame. In case a refund claim is filed, the remittance of transaction price will be due to the seller only when the refund claim is rejected by FleAffair.
  • Rules for Additional Verification (KYC) - Sellers who have received more than Indian Rs. 50,000 would be required to complete additional verification (KYC) and till such time that the additional verification is completed the remittances would be kept on hold. In such case, the Sellers would be required to furnish the following documents:

Valid photo Proof of Identity (POI)

Valid Proof of Address (POA) for the bank account name as mentioned in the User's Account

  • Sellers would be intimated to start KYC verification when FleAffair has remitted more than Indian Rs. 30,000. The seller would also be notified when KYC verification has been completed. Post KYC verification, in case the seller edits his bank account details anytime in future he will be required to complete KYC verification again for the new bank account and till such time that the verification is completed all the remittances shall be on hold. Remittances aggregating to a total of and up to a maximum of Indian Rs. 50,000 since the first registration of the seller may not be kept on hold.
  • Rules for FleAffair Seller Fees - The seller would be charged the applicable fee based on the transaction price (invoice value) or selling/transfer price of the product (whichever is lower) including any FleAffair gift vouchers when redeemed by the buyer. This fee would be deducted from the transaction price and remitted to the seller. Please see the table below for more details. The seller shall not attempt to circumvent or manipulate Our fee structure, the billing process or the fees owed to FleAffair. 
  • FleAffair may sell the product at a higher price than the one mentioned in the Product Selling Price due to other Affiliate fees etc. in this case the commission will be calculated on the Selling Price / Transfer Price of the Product mentioned in the Product Details rather than the Invoice Value.
  • Seller will intimate the FleAffair Vendor Central team for any price changes ( increase ) formally through an email one week in advance so that FleAffair can adjust the Marketing Campaigns / Affiliates Fee Structure accordingly. Failure to do the same will result in payout as per the old price structure only and any claims from the seller for such transactions will be rejected.

FleAffair Seller Fees

FleAffair charges a fixed commission percentage of 20% corresponding to the products being showcased by the Partner (Vendor).

* Note: that the fees above is Exclusive of Service taxes which is 15% [mandatory] or the current prevailing rate, and is effective from date of application as per the government norms.


In addition to the above rules, here are some additional policy violations not permitted on FleAffair:

  • Not entering Dispatch Details - In case the seller does not enter valid dispatch details within the stipulated time, FleAffair may cancel the transaction and may refund the transaction price to the buyer. Where sellers fail to enter true and correct shipping information, FleAffair may at its discretion take appropriate action. 
  • Seller Non-performance - Sellers cannot fail to deliver an item for which payment was accepted, significantly misrepresent an item by not meeting the terms and item description outlined in the listing, or refuse to accept payment for an item. In case of Incorrect Stock/Inventory and the Order being not fulfilled by the Vendor, FleAffair will charge Commission for all such orders from the Seller.
  • Unpaid Item/Final Value Fee Credit Abuse - Sellers may not file for a final value fee credit on a transaction where the buyer has already paid for the item. If you, as a buyer, paid for the item, but didn't receive it, we encourage you to communicate directly with your seller to track the payment and resolve the problem. Please review our Buyer Protection program for more information about reporting the seller and resolving the situation.
  • Tax Policy - Sellers must pay relevant fees and taxes.


Both buyers and sellers cannot interfere with a transaction or offer to buy or sell listed items outside of the FleAffair site (see Rules for Everyone).

Prohibited and Restricted Items

Before you list your item, you need to find out if your item is allowed on FleAffair and if the type of item is subject to certain restrictions to avoid potential issues with your listing. As a FleAffair seller, you are ultimately responsible for making sure that selling an item is legal in the eyes of the law.

Please note that sellers are responsible for any legal issues and other liabilities arising from attempting to sell these items on FleAffair. We shall take steps to cancel the listing of prohibited and restricted items within 2 business days of coming to know about such occurrence, and take appropriate actions against the violating sellers. Users are encouraged to report any listings which violate the policy.

The list of prohibited and restricted items is as follows:

  • Adult Material – content or material of a pornographic nature or not suitable for minors (individuals below 18 years of age)
  • Alcohol (including wine)
  • Animals and Wildlife Products - examples include live animals, mounted specimens, and ivory
  • Artifacts
  • Beta Software
  • Bootleg/Pirated Recordings
  • Brand Name Misuse
  • Catalog and URL Sales
  • Clothing (used/not new)
  • Comparison Policy
  • Compilation and Informational Media
  • Contact Information
  • Contracts
  • Copyrights

Rules for Listings

To promote a safe, fair and enjoyable trading experience, FleAffair has established a set of rules and policies for item listings. These restrictions involve how certain items are described, and practices that would provide an unfair advantage or result in a negative buyer experience. When policy violations occur, FleAffair will inform the seller that the listing has been ended.

The following are the Rules for Listing:

  • Listings must not misrepresent items. Sellers should not:
  • List items in inappropriate categories with appropriate tags.
  • Misrepresent the item location from which their item will be shipped.
  • Include brand names or other inappropriate keywords in a title or description. This is known as keyword spamming and occurs when members place brand names or other inappropriate keywords in a title or description for the purpose of gaining attention or diverting members to a listing. The text sellers place in listings must be directly relevant to the item being sold.
  • Have misleading titles that do not accurately describe the item for sale.
  • Listings cannot use techniques to avoid or circumvent fees on the Website. Sellers should not:
  • Offer a catalog from which buyers may directly order or with different prices than on website.
  • Allow buyers a choice of items.
  • List a single item but offer additional identical items for sale in the item description.
  • Include separate payment surcharges that buyers pay to use ordinary forms of payment.
  • Charge excessive shipping.
  • Offer the opportunity through FleAffair to purchase the item or other merchandise outside of FleAffair.
  • Use the Seller's Store page to promote outside-of-FleAffair sales or prohibited items.
  • Listings must promote a fair and level playing field, and provide an enjoyable and safe experience for buyers. Sellers should not:
  • Solicit buyers to mail cash or use other payment methods not specifically permitted by FleAffair as accepted payment methods.
  • Include links that do not conform to FleAffair Links Policy.
  • Use certain types of HTML and JavaScript (scripts used to drop or read a cookie on any FleAffair page, scripts that redirect the member from FleAffair to another page, and JavaScript Include and iframe.) in item listings, Seller's Store pages or comments.
  • Promote giveaways, random drawings, raffles, prizes or bonuses.
  • Create a listing that does not offer an item or service.
  • Include third party credits beyond what is acceptable.
  • Use profanity in a listing, except as allowed in media titles.


Rules about Intellectual Property

FleAffair is committed to protecting the intellectual property rights of third parties and to providing a safe marketplace to trade. Unauthorized use or Infringement of copyrighted material and trademarks are strictly prohibited at FleAffair.

FleAffair has zero tolerance for any intellectual property violations. Counterfeits, unauthorized replicas, unauthorized items (such as counterfeit watches, handbags, or other accessories) or unauthorized copies (such as copies of software programs, video games, music albums, movies, television programs, or photographs) are not permitted at FleAffair. Unauthorized copies include (but are not limited to) copies that are pirated, duplicated, backed-up or bootlegged. It is illegal to sell unauthorized copies of media.

If the product you are selling bears the name or logo of a company, but it wasn't made or endorsed by that company, don't list it at FleAffair.

Academic software is software sold at significantly discounted prices to students, faculty members and educational institutions. Do not list academic copies of software At FleAffair unless you are authorized to do so as an educational re-seller, an educational institution a student or a faculty member.

Beta software, test software and evaluation software are not permitted at FleAffair. Beta, test, and evaluation copies of software are preliminary copies of software distributed by software developers strictly for the purpose of evaluation and troubleshooting.

Do not list "OEM" or "bundled" copies of software At FleAffair unless you are selling it with computer hardware. For Context, Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), or bundled software, is software that is obtained as part of the purchase of a new computer. OEM software licenses usually prohibit the purchaser from reselling the software without the computer or, in some cases, without any computer hardware.

Bootleg recordings are unauthorized recordings of concerts or live performances. Sellers are not permitted to list bootleg recordings at FleAffair.

Users are encouraged to report any violations by others to FleAffair through the right channels.


Seller Protection Policies

The FleAffair Seller Protection Policy is designed to receive, consider and resolve legitimate claims from sellers arising due to refund given by FleAffair to a buyer through the FleAffair Buyer Protection program subject to conditions mentioned in this program.

This program will cover the seller (amount will be recovered from the buyer at FleAffair discretion) in the following scenarios where refunds/claim payouts are initiated by FleAffair to the buyer through the FleAffair Buyer Protection program:

Where the seller has shipped the product to the buyer and the buyer is in possession of the product

The seller should email a clear copy of the delivery proof (as provided below) to vendor@FleAffair.com within 5 days of FleAffair contacting the seller after a item not received dispute has been raised.
Requirements for the delivery proof:

  • Should be in the form of a valid proof of dispatch and proof of delivery.
  • Should mention the buyer’s name and full address.
  • Should have the same airway bill number as mentioned in the “Shipment Details”.

Where the buyer has returned the product to the seller but the seller has not received the same or if received, received the same in damaged condition

The seller should inform FleAffair of non–receipt of the product or damaged condition of the product received within 5 days of the case being closed in favor of the buyer.

This redressal facility does not cover (please note that these are only illustrative examples and not an exhaustive list of instances. FleAffair has the full right and discretion to accept or decline any redressal request):

  • Refunds claims that are approved automatically due to non-entry of shipping details by the seller within prescribed timelines.
  • Transactions involving intangible goods or delivery by non-physical delivery modes.
  • Shipments from the seller to the buyer where the items were damaged or lost in transit.
  • Cases where the courier company returns the packet to the seller due to non-delivery for reasons like buyer non available, wrong delivery address and buyer’s refusal to accept the packet, etc.
  • Items are not legal or in violation of FleAffair User Agreement and FleAffair Rules and Policies.
  • Cases of wrong intent of the seller.
  • If the seller has not completely fulfilled the obligation(s) as required in the order placed by the buyer.
  • In case the buyer shipped the items back to the seller & seller has received the same.

Obligations on part of the seller:

  • The seller should have dispatched the product before the dispute raised under FleAffair buyer protection program was closed.
  • The seller should have delivered the item exactly as specified in the corresponding listing on FleAffair.
  • The seller should have participated in addressing the concern raised by the buyer in the FleAffair buyer protection program.
  • The seller should have contacted customer support at FleAffair within the time allowed to revert on such claims by FleAffair.
  • The seller should have correct contact details on FleAffair to enable FleAffair to contact the seller if needed.
